🌿 The Quiet Power of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not a single act.
It’s a process. A practice. A spiral path we return to over and over again—each time a little softer, a little braver.

In my work with women—through yoga, energy healing, and our monthly Lunar Women’s Circles—forgiveness comes up again and again. Often not as a bold declaration, but as a quiet whisper:
“I think I’m ready to let go.”

And sometimes, just as often,
“I want to, but I’m not sure how.”

Forgiveness Is Not Forgetting

Let’s be clear: forgiveness is not about excusing harm, bypassing pain, or pretending something didn’t happen.
It’s not about spiritually rushing to the “high road.”
And it’s definitely not about self-sacrifice.

True forgiveness is an act of self-liberation.
It says: I will no longer carry this wound as my identity. I will let it shape me, but not harden me. I will loosen the grip it has on my energy, my nervous system, my joy.

Sometimes forgiveness is directed outward.
But often, especially for women in midlife, it needs to be turned inward.

What Needs Forgiveness in You?

It might be:

  • The way you silenced yourself to keep the peace
  • The years you spent disconnected from your body
  • The times you doubted your own intuition
  • The grief that’s lingered longer than you thought “acceptable”
  • The parts of your past you still carry shame around

Forgiveness doesn’t mean you condone what happened.
It means you are ready to stop letting it control your energy.

Your Body Knows How to Forgive

Through the practices I teach—like Reiki, restorative yoga, and somatic meditation—we remember that forgiveness isn’t just mental.
It lives in the body.
In the heart.
In the breath.

Sometimes we can’t "think" our way into letting go.
But we can feel our way there.
One breath at a time.

A Simple Practice

If you’re holding something that feels heavy, try placing one hand over your heart and one over your belly. Close your eyes. Take a few slow breaths and whisper:

“I forgive you. I release you. I set myself free.”

You don’t have to mean it fully yet.
Just be willing to begin.

This Is Sacred Work

Forgiveness is not weakness.
It’s courage.
It’s maturity.
It’s sacred medicine.

If this is something you’re working through, you’re not alone. Whether it’s through a private Reiki session, a women’s circle, or a moment on your mat—I’m here to walk that path with you.

Join Our Circle

If this reflection speaks to your heart, I invite you to join our next Lunar Women’s Circle, where we explore themes like forgiveness, compassion, and self-reclamation in a supportive, energy-infused space.
